Low gas warning?

Is there any kind of low gas warning on the Tahoe"s I have a 98 and ive purposely let it run on pretty low gas to see if theres any lights or chime but nothing.

Is there supposed to be something?

yep when it stops running :lol:... ive run my 97 out of gas...no warning light

Be careful running them out of gas - this can and probably will cause fuel pump problems

yea hasnt happened since the first week i bought the truck...my fuel gauge was not reading accurately and the dealership failed to mention that... :mad2:

My 99... The "CHECK GUAGES" light comes one for a minute then stars to flash and "ding"

Ran my 99 out once..

no lights or sounds came on not even low fuel warning. I did on purpose though to know what I'm working with in terms of miles per tank, was able to coast into a station when she finally shut off.
