When trading in a car never let them lowball you on it. When they offer you a price for it and tell you that is what the book says its worth they are talking about the Dealer Blue Book which takes off about 5k on every car, when they say this to you ask them what it would sell for in the real world. I used this line when purchasing my Honda and the dealers sat there and stared at me for a while then immediately gave me what I wanted for my trade in. Also always make sure you give them the impression you don't care if you get the car or not. I negotiated a deal over the phone with the dealer for my Honda, when I got to the lot he had a completely different deal in hand, so I acted extremely pissed off (I actually kind of was) and got up to walk out, at that moment the dealer gave me the original deal and then took off about 4k off it! Basically give them the finger and tell them you can get it for less somewhere else and that you will never recommend the dealership to anyone you know, and they will fold!! Good Luck, I'm actually in the same process you are too looking for a new Hoe' or Denali! :Chevy:
