The inline 6 in the Jeep is bullet proof. As far as mud goes I could think of a lot better vehicles I would like to use besides a jeep. I like the rocks and my jeep does to. Solid front axle with lockers front and rear and the ability to lift a tire three feet off the ground with the other three tires still planted firmly on the ground is my kind of vehicle Chrysler or not.

solid axles equal ruff ride and steering like a school bus, my yukon is a smooth daily driver and a great off roader, all in air conditioned leather interior comfort. :D creature comforts.

BTW women love any modded truck, especially a HUGE lifted chevy.

You're right man! live Texas and a lot of women here drive huge lifted trucks! I can't do that with the Yukon because my wife will be running over the first car that pisses her off!

Personally, I would never change up my daily driver. My first vehicle I lifted got terrible gas mileage, the components wear out much faster, and it was more of a pain to drive. Can't say muh about a lowered one since I haven't had one. However, most people lift or lower their vehicles for appearances only (they do look good) and if that is what they wish to do then to each their own. They all look

In my opinion the tahoe looks better lifted. Mine really looked plain before the leveling kit was installed. The previous body style, especially the Z71 had a more rugged look to it than the NBS. At their stock height with the 20" street tires the NBS does not look anything like the tahoe that I was used to. (I did not even like the NBS at first). BTW if I had a Yukon or Escalade I would keep it stock or lower it because I think they have more of a luxury look to them, and that look is improved by lowering. Also in reference to the Jeep comments I would not trust anything else off road, not to mention I would never let a 50k tahoe have a chance of getting body damage on the narrow trails around here. I have owned several lifted jeeps and they seem to go anywhere, but with that being said I would never want a Chrysler product for a daily driver.

I'm going the lowered route (thanks to Frank Beck: a Pedders vendor) despite the fact that I'm driving a Z71. Expect to see a nice write-up in the near future. Reason for lowering: better gas mileage, better road handling, ease of entrance, and most of all...That Look!!!

I love the Tahoes lifted, lowered and stock. But I have to say Lifted is my cup of tea, Lowered looks great but not for me and what I like to do (Offroad) and stock, we've all been there unless you bought it off the lot modified.
Just my .02

The polls are pretty close. I should have made more option "stock with wheels".

I think Tahoe/Yukons and other large SUVs look better lowered unless they have large, 12+" lifts and huge tires, then they look like what they are, examples of excess. Most Bolt-on lift kits (6"-9") make the vehicles look disproportianate IMO. However, when they are dropped, from 2/3 all the way to laying frame, I think it accents the lines of the truck.

i lifted mine so i obviously perfer that! but i do like the look of small drops on 24s. stock looks good but anyone can have that look and isnt unique.

but for the reason i lifted mine is mostly for the look, i dont take it offroad since i have a 93 yj that would put it to shame. its not my daily driver since i use the dmax for work everyday and for towing.

I can't believe the number of people that like the plain jane (stock) look.
