I just ordered one from Autoanything.com. They have the K&N Stuff on sale right now. You can't see the final price until you add one to your shopping cart. I was floored when I saw the price. No tax and free ground shipping!

They have good prices on all the CAI's AEM - $277.95, Volant - $286.95 and K&N to name a few. I really wanted the Volant but the K&N was too good a price to pass up. I searched and searched the web for a cheaper Volant, The best price I could find was about $270. But when you added shipping it was over $290.

I thought you'd all like to know!

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked out autoanything.com and purchased the K&N intake. The price has increased slightly, but was still one of the lowest priced I've seen. Another site that has a low price was streetsideauto.com. I'm recently purchased a 08 Tahoe and joined the forum. So far I've seen some great advice and help. Looking forward to wrenchin my mods.

When I got home sitting at the front door was the package.

I took me about 2 and a half hours to install... Mostly because my neighbor came over to talk with me and my 18 month old wanted to help. And my dogs kept barking at the little fluffy rat dog the kids across the street kept walking in front of my house because they think it's funny to hear my hounds howl....:mad2: :mad3:

Aaaaannyway, The install was pretty easy. :D Pretty much everything can be done with normal tools screwdriver wrench and sockets. The only thing that someone with zero mechanical skill might have trouble with is drilling the one hole in the plastic radiator bracket on the passenger side. Otherwise the only other painful part was installing the rubber seal around the heat shroud. Mostly, because I'm anal and wanted it to look nice. But even that goes on pretty easily.

After we put my daughter to sleep I took it for a little spin and, Yup it works! I had forgotten the seat of the pants feel you get from CAI's It's really not that much louder, especially if you have the radio on. But at WOT you can definitely hear a difference.

Sweet!

I'ts nice to have a project vehicle again.

I wanted the Volant mostly cus it looks better. But I'm happy with the K&N, especially with the deal I got.

I'll post pics later.
