Just won't start for 10 minutes!?!?!?!?

I am new to this Forum and I think its great. I have owned my 2000 Tahoe LS (New Style) since 2005. For a year or so now I have had an intermitent problem with it not starting. It will crank and fire, run for 1/2 second and die. It does this for about 10 minutes. No kidding! I can try after 1 minute and again after 6 or 7 minutes, but if I just wait 10 minutes or so it will fire up and run just fine!! I thought maybe it was a fuel pump on its way out but I just changed it yesturday after it quite and left me stranded. And tonight after work it did the no start thing again. I am stumped and hoping someone else has come across this. It's got 122,000 and as much as I'd love to by a new one, I just don't have $60k... Thanks in advance for any help.

Never mind about the no start issue. I traded the pos in yesturday on an 07 z71 HOE. It's sweet!!

ive sorta had the same problem with my 2000 siverado 1500...once and a while it fails to start..its firing and getting fuel ..i wait bout 5-6 min. and it fires up ..has done it for years ..any ideas anyone?..replaced fuel pump,regulator plugs ,wires....never have figured it out..and it always cranks...but is aggravating sometimes...
