just put HIDS in projector headlights question

I have angel eye/projector headlights on my truck i just put H3 bulb HIDS in the headlights(as well as the fog loights)...my question is this...i had to cut up the original rubber boot that goes around the back of the bulb...do you think its enough protection from water or should i bead a small amount of silicone around the back of the bulb?

How much heat is produced, You may want to consider a high temp silicone. As long as it isnt unsightly. Because Hi Temp Silicone is orangish brown in color

i would use high temp for sure thanks for the reminder...its the back of the house is just for fuction no one will be able to see it just dont wanna **** it up
