I've bought a 2008 Silverado jump seat and want to mount this in my 1996 Tahoe. My Tahoe is fitted with two seats and a center console. Have anyone of You tryed to mount a center jump seat in a 1995 to 1999 Tahoe?

You can get a 3-seat front bench for them but I have never seen anyone put a 2008 seat in there

Good luck, take pictures and let us know how your journey goes..... I have a 60/40 split bench in the front of my truck (was stock, didnt come with the floor mounted plastic console, the middle seat is built into the pass side and there is a fold down console that makes the back of the seat), perhaps you ought to look into a more stockish option from a Junkyard or something.....????

As far from now, TKS a lot guys. Received the 2008 jump seat today. First thing without taking any pics - the jumpseat is about 0.5 till 1.0 inch to wide. Never the less, I'll still try to get it mounted. I'll maybe "draw" the seat around 25'' backwards in comparasion with the drivers seat. Do I still get probs, I'll try to narrow the seat in the width. And yes, the easiest way would be byuing at 60/40 seat construction, however................... ;-)

Could notch the mounting holes slightly for the two front seats to slide them slightly to the outside so the jump seat fits better..... May have to fab up a bracket to mount the jumpseat to.....

TKS lesterl. Notching the mounting holes in the seatframe could give up to 0.5 inch per seat :) And You'r right lesterl, maybe need to fab a bracket....

I finished the work today - almost. Only need to finish the aft fixation of the jumpseat as shown on the pictures. To get the seat mounted I needed to cut of around 20 inches of the aft legroom heating tubes to get the gimbal tunnel more narrow to fit the seat.
Armrest have to be disassembled from the bucket seats otherwise there is no room for the jumpseat.
The aft fixation can not be done by drilling a hole in the floor. On the left side you have the fuel tank directly below, and on the right side you have a heatshield welded to the bottom of the car. I will fix it by welding one or two nuts directly on the floor from the inside. Before welding a hole should be drilled allowing the bolt to get half an inch through the floor.
Last thing to be done is to mount a safetybelt on the jumpseat.
My Tahoe is fitted without backseats due to hight taxes in Denmark. So right now I have got room for 3 in the Tahoe :)
Pictures from todays work attached.
