I am considering changing the shocks on my 2002 Yukon XL. Is this difficult to do? I have never changed sohcks before, but told that it is not a difficult task. I am trying to save the sky-high dealer fees if it is a realtively easy job.

Thanks. Mine has the Autoride garbage and I want to get rid of it or, at a minimum, replace them myself to alleviate some of the cost. I don't think that I can get rid of the Autoride unless I leave the light on. I would have expected that this feature could be disabled, but evidently not. Replacing the shocks myself will save hundreds!

You might want to PM JennaBear or BlackBear tunes and see if there is a mod they have that can turn the autoride and subsequent lights off.

Doing so will allow you to go the way of replacing with non air ride shocks.
