Intermittent 4wd service 06 Z71

:crazy: For the past three months the service 4wd service warning has appeared. It comes and goes at will some times in the same trip. some times restarting clears it. some times the 4wd will shift and sometimes it won’t. one time the 30 amp fuse under the hood blew. I have checked the switch on the dash and resoldered it. this week the stability control warning appeared also. I don’t what to take it to the dealer until it becomes more consistent. Seriously when I show up to work on their equipment it works fine so I know my truck will run better then new if I take it their with this problem. Any ideas??

i just took mine to dealership for same problems they said it was wheel speed sensor dont know if this helps?

Follow up, I took the truck to local mechanic he read the codes 0327 and told me it was the encoder motor. I read a lot of forums and found instructions and pictures on replacement of the encoder. My motor still shifted I ordered the part from parts direct and replaced it this Saturday considering my left hand is a cast not a bad job, all I can say is sham on those dealers that charge 700 bucks for this job. I would also like to say what a POS I can not believe after 10 years plus of failures GM hasn’t stepped up and 1 fired the engineers that designed it and 2 redesigned it. I miss the old days when 4x4 s were made for men with shifters.
