My '00 XL (150k miles) is having a problem in that the dash warning lights for the ABS system and Brakes are coming on at random times (the lights will not go out until I restart the truck).

I've been told that I need to have the CPU rebooted or reprogrammed:confused2: ; is that true?; if so, how do I get this done?

Thx,

Steve Dow

Yeah you can check basic things like your brake fluid level (that can cause the brake light to go on).

But you have to go to the dealer to get the code read off of the ABS computer to find out exactly what's wrong with the ABS system. Sometimes it's just a bad wheel sensor.
