Does anyone know where it's located on my 2008 Chevy Tahoe (5.3L Flex / Eng. Code 0)?

The dealer wants $295 to replace a $30 part. I'd like to just buy the part and install it myself.

Just did mine. Simple. Directly in front of spare tire. Look for 1 electrical connection i valve connection. Has a little round filter thing that get clogged with crap. Tube runs up to square or rectangle charcoal canister.

Was the part number you replaced AC Delco part number 214-2142?

That is what I just ordered. I hope I got the right part! LOL! According to my local dealership, they wanted to replace the Evap Solenoid. That has to be it, right?! The part is $30.

Is the part inside a cylinder type shell that covers it? Is it mounted right in front of the spare tire on a cross-member? I'm afraid to take it apart if it's a gas line?
