well i wrote up a timeline before here regarding my truck not starting ... now today, it didn't start again, after a new BCM was installed back in december!! I just missed a very important meeting at work, and my reason was that my 2007 Yukon did not start ... wow, what an excuse!!!

so now, I am not going to pay anymore payments on it, bring it back to where I bought it from, and leave the car there to get repoed!! I don't care anymore, I'm going to get me another car!

Recap:

1) Bought the car brand new Aug. of 06 - 1 month later, did not start -- got towed!
2) 10K miles later, -- car did not start, said they fixed the problem. Battery run down .. blah blah blah ...
3) 20k Car did not start again --- can't find the problem, said it should be fine
4) 40k later, car did not start .. dealer said the BCM was bad, so they replaced it under GM goodfate--- said that should do it.
5) Now 50k later -- car is not starting again!! I'm pissed off

The dealer should still fix it with no cost to you if your problem started before your warranty expired and is still not resolved. Letting it get repossessed is a good way to make sure you won't be able to get a loan on ANYTHING for a good long while. But you should be angry, don't give up, make them fix it. Make sure to ask them what they are going to do different this time so this doesn't keep happening.

I agree...the last thing you should be thinking about is a repo. Trade it, sell it if you have to, but don't let a repo get on your record, regardless of how pissed you are. You will only hurt yourself in the long run.

I would definitely check the lemon laws, if you have all of this documented then it would see that you could easily prove the issue was never properly fixed.

I had a 89 Bronco lemon lawed after owning it for 3 years and they gave me a brand new 92 Bronco. That's California though. I don't know what state your in.

PS: you don't need to pay a lawyer to enact the lemon law. My salesman filled out all the paper work for me. (Save all your work orders and any receipts as you will need them to prove your case).

Hi Guys, thanks for all the comments ...

actually after the 4th time it was towed, I did get it to Lemon Law, unfortunatelly, GMC denied any replacement... now my lawyer put a subpeona for GMC Corporation for all the monthly payments I made for about 1.5 years plus all the other charges I had, car rental, etc ...

In this case, the file will take at least up to a year before process goes through in court .. I am just feed up with this BS i'm dealing with, and I guess repo is not the answer ... i'll just probably end up having my lawyer to call GMC that I would like to end my lease with them, and have them deduct whatever charges applies on breaching the contract from the end result of the on going subpeona.

thanks again .. and I will keep everyone up to date with the outcome!

It took me 6 months from start to finish, with a lemon law specific lawyer; first they refused it but they ended up giving me back every dollar I spent, -500 for mileage, plus current registration, plus 6000 in attorneys fees. They are required by law to pay all of those upon success (California, most are the same). I couldn't be happier about how it went down. The car was free for 3 years and the money I got back pays for 1/2 of a new Tahoe. If in California, anyone can PM me for a good Lemon Law attorney.
