just curious if this new hoe offer's so much that you just have to have it and would it be enough to trade your perfectly good 07 or 08 ( or any other year for that matter)

i know that it would have to take an AWFUL lot to pry the keys and title out of my hand for the kon, and i expect nothing will ever do that. but im very attached, most people may think of their truck as a point a to b kinda thing.

Mine's a little more than point A to B for me. I'd keep my truck and "say" that I'm buying a new one for my wife. And just drive it whenever I want:D

Just wondering, but why is that? Just don't care for the styling, or do you just view those as the last of GM's real trucks?

Yeah, that's what we thought about our '04 Denali as well, dude. Then we went and really checked out the GMT900's and fell in love. Obviously, that was a complete re-design.

I suspect you'll probably hold on to your '06 for quite a while, and buy a loaded '10 or '11 before the next body style hits when they'll have loads of cool new gadgets in these GMT900's... ;)

None of the new trucks have style when you compare it to the 99's I mean all the new ones IMO look smaller and also look like jeeps and trail blazers they just suck IMO the 99's and 2000's were the best models

heres an example of pure beauty that all of the new tahoes cant display IMO

I like the 2k1 - 2k6 a little better, The new ones, you have to throw some rims on it right away to look good to me.

Everyone has their opinions and preferences. No one is wrong, as everyone's taste differs. The truck in the link is very nice. But I just can't get myself to like the interior in the pre-2000 Tahoes and Yukons. The body style is OK, it's the interior that turns me away. I think all three body styles look good when set up just right IMO.

i like them all, i like the gmt 800 style of the yukon the most, and the gmt 900 style of the sierra and tahoe the most.

but i like the gmt 400 suburban the best, just because that thing was huge, and that big 454 i had was AWSOME. :D

For me, I've put too many hours and a whole lot of $$ into my rides to trade up to something new just yet. The 2007/08s are nice but I haven't seen any reason to trade up. I'm really njoying the customizing of my Tahoe and my TBSS so unless something way better comes along in the next couple years, I'll have them for a while.

It would take the addition of heated AND cooled seats, a more efficient 6.0L mated to a solid (i.e re-programmed) 6sp and fold flat mid and rear seats.

Also, (maybe most importantly) not taking a HUGE bath on the trade-in!

For those options alone, I would guess it would run an additional $5k (minimum) over MSRP compared to what my '08 Z71 was listed for. Add to that the huge depreciation on my current truck and it will never happen.

I'll be running my kids kid's around in this thing, just due to the financial aspect....

As funny as it sounds, I'd actually like to trade back to a 1999 Suburban. The thing I liked about those is that you can get them very low with minimal effort. The newer body style trucks take much more work to sit low and still ride decent.

i wouldn't trade my 96 2door tahoe for anything with as much as i've put in it. unless something really ****ty happens i'll always have it.

i plan on picking up an 08 Tahoe or Avalanche (or a newer one) when the time comes because the front end styling is f$#&ing awesome...

My plan is to keep mine for a loooong time, but who knows the future. I also love having something new to drive. I'd like to keep it with low miles, modified, well maintained, and just get something else new in a few years. I'd even like to replace the motor and trans with more displacement and more/ stronger gears. But we'll see if future models are better or worse, and if this production run is greatly improved in a couple of years. As for now, can't see me parting with this truck, ever.

I would trade my tahoe only if the newer tahoe got 35-40mpg with a 4-6 inch lift and 35 inch tires!

My 08 has everything I need and then some. I won't be trading this one in for a long time. The only reason I would, is if it starts to act like a lemon. Besides, it's paid for.
