Hi guys,
I took a fuel pump out of a suburban and put it in my tahoe. Before I replaced it I could get no fuel to the fuel rail and now fuel is coming out of the fuel rail when pressed but it still will not start up. I was just wondering a few things... Is there anything you should do after replacing a fuel pump besides cycling the key a few times. I didn't put the tank all the way back up an kept the fill and air hose's off so I wouldn't have to disconnect all that if it didn't work. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. thanks all.

well I just learned that the Suburban is possible the wrong fuel pump and the pressure may not be the same. Anyone have any insight on this? thanks.

I can't believe not one person has any insight on this... this forum has not been very helpful to me at all.

Well I honestly don't know about the fuel pump, I'm new to this forum and I only got an 01 Tahoe a little over a week ago and haven't had to replace the fuel pump yet.

Well if you are getting fuel to the rail you you should check IGN fuses. Does it crank? and did you have the battery disconnected for a while?

The reason I ask about the battery is because the Passkey needs to be relearned and will cause the Antitheft to kick in.

My 01 Tahoe would not start yesterday...wldn't even turn over. Had left the switch on while talking to someone about it..was on about 15 mins ...when all of a sudden all the lights came on..I tried to start..started fine. For the last 2 months the light in the gear indicator window ( d, park, reverse, etc ) ..has been flickering...none of the other dash lights flickered. Any ideas what may be going on ?? maybe a short somewhere ??

This is in the next thread about a similar issue so I thought it might help. I also have the relearn procedures if you need them.
