Just like halogens, the 55 watters are suppossed to be brighter than the standard 35 watt HID bulbs.

don't have pics yet, but I have the 6000K as well, more than enough, I'd fear people would be flashing me their brights if I had 8000k's.

6000k huh. I am seriously thinking of getting HIDs. I was looking at 5000k but I really like the 6000k's.

but here, i have 55W ones on the mustang. definatly A difference to 35W but 35W are still awsome. right now there is talk of 75 and 100W HIDS, if they come out with them, dont care what the cost, im getting 100W HIDS for all the headlights on the new truck. :cool2:

here is a pic of the mustang... 55 watt D2R bulbs. Bi-Xenon

here is a pic of the yukon with 55W HIGHS, lows and fogs were back to halagon, fogs were back to halagon because i melted the housings, lows were back because i got new housings and they were a different bulbs. the kit you see here will be modded to go in to the fogs of my new one.

actully if you buy your HIDS from MikeMJohnson, who has some of the best kits i have seen, next to OEM, then all you need to do is exhange bulbs.

hid bulbs no matter what color or series use the same plugs AFTER THE BALLEST!!!!, what matters is the wireing harness which connects to your stock wireing.

so a 9005 bulb in 8000k is going to have the same plugs as a 9006 in 4300k, but the wireing harness that connects to the ballests are different.

Don't mean to hijack your thread... Do they make any good Projector housings for an 03 Tahoe that would fit an 9006 Low Beam? I have projectors that fit h3's but im not overly impressed with the light output.
