I'm wanting to get an HID Kit for my '06 Tahoe, but I'm not sure on what Color Temp I need, I want the blue look to it, I'm looking at the 10000k's on visionbulbs.com, If someone could just point in the right direction on where I can order these, or just explain to me the different color temps would help a lot..

Thanks

The bluish tint starts around 8000k and gets deeper at 10000K. The 12000k starts to look purplish. But as you go up in Kelvin (color temp), the light output goes down. So 8000K are brighter than 10000K.
The bluish tint may not be as noticeable on the 8000K until you are next to a 6000k or lower set, then you'll see the difference. I have 8000k on mine and it's hard to notice the blue until I look at my wife's 6000k on her car, then you can see it. If you want a deeper blue that will stand out, then the 10000k might be what you're looking for.

Don't mean to whore your thread, but who makes a good kit at reasonable prices? I plan on keeping my truck for a while and I would like to add HIDs to my projectors and fogs. I thought I saw a dealer on here, but can't remember where.

I have the co-ways on my denali and have had no issues, power up like stock hid ballasts and I have never had only one or the other turn on with my automatic headlights. Color output is brightest between 4300k and 6000k, I love my 6000k in the stock housing. The higher you get the more output you lose so try not to be too ricer and get the 6000k or 8000k, much easier to drive in poor conditions too

i think someone swapped the bulbs when they sold the kit to you. Those look like 8000K to me. I bought 10000K, 8000K and 6000K bulbs when i got my kit and the 6000k looked like the ones in the previous post, 8000K looked like the ones you have and the 10000K looked even bluer! (lol @ myself for saying bluer!):smilielol:
