I have an 08 z71 Tahoe that I want to level out. I have seen on here where people have put a 2.5 in lift in the front and a 1 in the back. If I just put a 2 in on the front and left the back where it is stock would the front sit higher than the back because i do not want that...

And I'm trying to find a good option for exhaust. I have to admit i am not very knowledgable in the exhaust field (my forte is in the audio). Im looking for something not too expensive that will give the hoe a good sound but not too loud, and i have read that dual rear exit is hard to do for the tahoe is that true? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and if there are any suggestions for a good CAI please let me know about those too

yes the rear will sit too low if you put just a 2" on the front. i have the 2.5"/1" and its perfect. the front is still about .25" lower than the back but it gives it such a great look now! besides the CCM leveling kit is only $145 shipped and i had it installed for $175.

and i asked about a good CAI and alot have said the volante is a good one b/c its a whole box and not just opened or something like that... i dunno but im going to look into it

Yeah i was looking at the same leveling set up you have. I just am not planning on getting bigger tires and i just dont want it to look "off". I have seen pictures with stockers still on with a 2.5 in the front and a 1 in the back and it looks really good i just havent seen it in person.. but ill probably end up with the same set up you have going.

Yeah ive heard the same about the CAI and i have heard K&N too. Ill keep you posted on what i can find.

Thanks!

Yeah the CCM kit is the way to go (for levelling).

As far as exhaust (cheap w/ good sound), just replace the muffler with a Magnaflow (smooth V8 sound) or Flowmaster (classic truck sound).

CAI: Just get one that is totally sealed from the engine bay. There will be very little performance difference between the brands.

Is the ccm kit exactly level? And does the kit alter the ride of the suv?

Thanks for the help Zed. I am probably going with the ccm kit but if i just raise the front 2" and leave the back where it is do you think the front will be higher (I do have a ranch hand on my hoe so keep in mind the front is sitting just a bit lower than stock because of that weight).

And as far as the CAI, I listened to virtually what everyone on the forum suggested and when with a closed off system (i have a volant on the way).

Magnaflow is exactly what i was looking at... How do yall feel about true duals.. ive heard mixed reviews

Its pretty close! i measured the space in the wheel wells and its about .25-.5" off being the back is higher, but thats OK and actually preferred b/c if i were to tow something or have a bunch of people in the back then it would sit level! As far as the ride i think it rides the same if not better :gy: kinda weird but nothing too dramatic and if so in a good way!

yes it would be off by about .5" or more in the back and would look pretty bad IMHO. even tho the ranch hand is heavy its not going to pull the truck that much down, so it will still sit back a little. i think the best you can do is the ccm and it will still be a little low in the front but MUCH better than stock!:yaya:

Yeah the "snow plower" look just isnt really doing it for me right now... Thanks for the advice, I'm just going to stick with the ccm, like you said, thats what most people suggest.

Yeah UofMZ71 hit the nail on the head regarding height and ride.

06Evolved look for my post in the suspension section for more pictures. Unfortunately I did not take any before pictures.

Slmann, I like the sound of the true duals but it would have been too loud for the wife... The single is a good compromise.
