HELP!!! Tahoe Possessed

She's tryin to start herself, no key, just battery connected... does this mean my starter is fried??

reason i ask, my friend has a '90 or '91 silverado that did this and a replaced starter fixed it... i've removed the starter and will replace it tomorrow... someone please tell me if this is not the thing to do. thanks!

Are any of the ign and acc circuits activating also? Or is it just cranking? If the ign circuits are turning on, I doubt it's the starter, solenoid, or any part of the starter circuit. Could be a short in the ignition cylinder if other circuits are turning on. Otherwise, if it's only the starter activating, then it could be a bad solenoid (built onto the starter), relay, or intermitent short in the starter circuit wiring.

Well, replaced starter and selenoid and it fixed the problem. however, while the battery and alarm were disconnected last night, some deusch bag broke in and took some stuff, the noticeable things being my digital camera and a 10rd magazine for my .45. Glad i took the pistol out last night... damned thieves!
