OK, my wife and I really like the new Tahoe. To me it's the best looking SUV on the market, bar none. Now, can you '07 owners give me any 'bad' news you might have about them, you know, breakdowns, recalls or things like that. Basically, our new Tahoe would be driven about 95% by my wife (not for commuting). Before I drop $40k+ on an SUV I sure would like to know it won't be in the shop all the time.

Any opinions are much appreciated!

I've had mine for just over a year now. 07 LTZ 4wd. I've had it in the snow, off road, on the highway. Have over 20,000 miles on it. Just returned from a 2500 mile trip pulling trailer - about 200 miles of which were off road. The ONLY problem I have had with the truck was the chrome on the drivers inside door handle started to come off. I have had a message or two displayed regarding a problem with the traction control but no problem was found when I took it to the dealer. If I had to do it over again I would get the second row bench seat instead of the captains chairs so I could get five people in the truck. I have the third row seats bust removed them the day I bought the truck because I need the storage. My prior Tahoe, a 2002 had some features that would be nice nice to have on the new one like the cargo net, tint band across the windshield and some other small items but the new one drives much better and is the first car I have ever owned that had no defects on delivery. Go for it!

I absolutely love my 07 Tahoe! I had to have a back up sensor, that is about it as it rides like a dream and is a very solid vehicle and you cant go wrong getting one as the GMT 900 series trucks area very solid, after you buy it please post lots of pics.

I've had mine just a few months but I read a lot of reviews before buying. I couldn't find any reason not to buy. Now that I've got mine. I can't think of any other SUV I would take over my 07 Tahoe

I've put almost 8,000 miles on mine in 3 months. Only thing wrong was a tire pressure sensor that went bad in the first week. Aside from that it's great and I wouldn't want anything else.
I did a ton of research before buying this and I found that aside from the mileage people are satisfied with Tahoes. Just be certain it fits your needs and you'll be fine.

Try to find one that's been sitting on the lot for awhile if you can. I believe some (maybe all?) the rebates are associated with when the Tahoe was built. I think for the highest amount of rebates you have to find a Tahoe built before Feb. 2007.

The longer you wait in 07, the slimmer the pickins'..... 08's are out.. You should be able to deal on an 07 but be prepared to get what they have or hunt around for one that will work for you.
Best SUV out there. Hands down.. You won't regret it.

Go to the chevy website, there is a link there that lets you see the inventory of any dealers you choose. Saved me a lot of phone calls and driving around.

when i bought mine, it was the first american car i've ever driven... i like to keep my cars for a long time (150K miles+). i've heard great reviews of this car and am completely happy with my denali. but i do notice that i dont see very many pre 2002 yukons, tahoes, etc. on the road any more. should i be worried about this? or is it because i live in so cal and everyone wants here wants to drive a new car every 4-5 years?

anyhow, i made the leap and have no regrets right now... i've already used it to tailgate once and will be using it for our first road trip to Yosemite (hiking half-dome) this weekend. i say you go for it and buy the truck!!!!

Many times people will trade in a perfectly good vehicle just because they want a new one.

I live in a more rural area, and trucks out number cars nearly 2 to 1. There are just as many older Tahoes and Yukons as there are newer ones. I also see quite a few old K5 Blazers and full-sized Jimmys on the road around here. Apparently, when you so cal folks trade in your 4 to 5 year old trucks, they get sent up to the Northwest so we can buy them and drive 'em till they die, lol.
