Hey, newbie here. I am in the market to buy a new 08 Tahoe LTZ most likely with the White Diamond appearance package. Most of the ones left over/available here (midwest) have Ebony interior (not crazy about that!) and I have no idea what some of the wheel/rim options look like.

I've seen them all before at some point, but just can't remember with all the looking that I have done. I have not found many photos on the GMC site. I would pretty much be happy with the LTZ standard 20" polished aluminum. However, the dealer will locate a car and do a dealer trade so I need to do my homework on the other options since my choices will be limited.

So, what do the 20" chrome BW tires look like? How are they different? I can't seem to find any stock photos of them.

And, maybe some photos of the chrome appearance packages would be helpful too! Chrome grill vs. standard grill, etc.

Any photos of your own 08 Hoe's would be greatly appreciated. I'm a "soccer mom", but I'm pretty vain when it comes to my cars. I want to look good, but not too much bling ya, know? Need to maintain that MILF status ; )

I'm off to search the gallery now, but a Google search only resulted in 1 photo earlier!

You have many options to see what the parts you want look like, you could go to the Ebay Motors (www.motors.ebay.com) section and put in the 07-UP tahoe generation and their are many photos of various Tahoe and options for sale on there.
You could also go to www.gmaccessorieszone.com, select the 08 Tahoe section and they have phtos of accessories on Tahoe's there too.
That help?

Milf huh? This thread sucks without pics. .. haha jk. Welcome! Go to the photo gallery of this forum and maybe you can find some of the pictures you are looking for. GM should have some on their website under their accessories link.

I rarely do see these White Diamond Tahoes, and I must note that they do come with a lot of bling, and even more than the 08's if you get an 09. They look nice though, although the Yukons sport the look better in my opinion. In fact I would've been super happy with a white diamond one, but I'm only 16 so I didn't have much say when my dad bought my Tahoe. :]

And I agree, the ebony interior is nothing to crave. My parents have had black on black SUV's and crew cab trucks as long as I can remember, which is probably why they ordered mine with the same. I'm sick of it! Haha. After I leave school I go pick up my nephew most of the time, and any grass/dirt he brings in really shows. Plus the camel color looks more elegant, if you will.

My mom is a soccer mom too [hauls up to 6 kids at a time = why she needed the longer Escalade], same way about her cars as you so I know where you're coming from. Have you considered an Escalade or Denali? Compared to my Tahoe, Mom's Esky is a lot more feature-packed, and from what I understand since the White Diamond Tahoe is the highest-priced Tahoe, it's MSRP shouldn't be too far from an Escalade [my Tahoe's an LT3 with everything but chrome and was $51k], much less a Denali. The seats are much more comfortable in both, in the Esky the Navigation System is bigger and you have a better sound system. You can also get cooled seats, power 3rd row, power running boards, just a lot more than you could with a Tahoe. The Denali should be about the same price as this LTZ your pricing, and it has a few more standard features and a few more interior upgrades.

Also did a Google search, found this.

There are a lot of wheels to choose from, and even more if you are open to Escalade/Denali wheels. Ask the dealer to show you, or pick up one of the Tahoe brochures, they have pictures of all of the wheel options [for that specific vehicle].

Sorry for the long post, but I stayed home sick today, and I got a little bored, so I went to these forums, saw your thread and felt like helping you out :]

Thanks...

Thanks for your responses! I have done quite a bit more searching the past 3 days and did find some more stock photos on the GMC site (accessory link), but I really need/want to see the wheels/rims ON the car. Guess I didn't convey that. I did come across the one pic posted here in this thread. Looks pretty good, but I think they look like maybe 22" tires? Not sure I want that as we will be pulling a 22' foot boat next summer!!

I think I'm pretty much set on the Tahoe LTZ--the look of it just appeals to me more than the Escalade & Denali, but I really appreciated your opinion! Wow, a Tahoe at 16. That's awesome! My first car was a used Z24 cavalier!! I did have 3 more of those later in my 20's---all 3 red Z24's (97,00, 02) I loved that car!!! Then went to my GMC Envoy in 04--love it, but ready for something bigger inside and w/more towing capacity.

Any other pics, ideas for searches still appreciated!!

And, maybe I'll post a pic of me and my new Tahoe when I get it ; ) Hoping soon, as the Envoy is having some electrical issues suddenly--probably just a loose fuse, but I'm secretly hoping it's something major so my hubbie will cave and get the Tahoe sooner...

Yes, I think those are 22", a lot of those you can get from the dealer are 22". The 20" polished aluminum factory ones look great. A lot of my friends at school changed their rims but I'm happy with mine the way they are! Oh, and I agree with the boat thing, in fact I love pulling my jet skis behind me when we take family trips to the lake [Mom's car pulls the ski boat, which must be rough!]. I never thought I'd tow something in mine, but now I like doing it. I'm kind of dreading pulling the new pontoon we'll be getting in May, but I think my dad will do it.

I like the general look of the Tahoe more than the Yukon, and with the chrome it really beats them. I've seen tons of black Tahoes, but only 2 or 3 black Yukons [without chrome] since the new body style. But my dad took me with him to this huge Toyota dealership to get something for his Tundra, and we parked right next to a white diamond LTZ. I had to be staring at it for at least a minute or so, it was really nice. Last month I went to my cousin's first football game and parked next to a white diamond Yukon and I thought that it pulled that color off better, of course any other color I prefer on a Tahoe! I love the Envoys, especially the newest ones, I agree not so much room, but still more than a standard car. And a lot better looking than a Trailblazer.

A search you could try like mentioned before is eBay, sounds silly but they have a lot [especially of the popular Tahoe] and just about all of them are from dealers, so there's a lot of high-quality pictures of both interior, exterior, and rims, NOT just aftermarket accessories. I couldn't find any white diamond ones, but if you still want high-quality interior/rim pictures that's definitely a good place to get them. The day I got my Tahoe, I was able to drive it around for awhile, the whole time my mom was taking pictures, it was pretty cool. So you'll be happy with it! Especially if you like the new car smell and plastic on everything, with little warning/safety tags everywhere. Maybe it depends on how the dealer "dresses" it, but mine had a lot.

You should definitely post a pic, here or chevroletforum.com [has a whole forum dedicated to Tahoes, and a thread to post pics]. I hardly ever see any white diamond Tahoes so it'd be nice to see some. Plus there maybe someone in the future with the same interests/questions that you're having, and the pics and your review would help! Do you have any customization ideas, like the Escalade-style LED tailights? I'm dying to try those on my Tahoe, maybe in a "smoke" color to blend in.
Either way, you'll probably be so happy when you get it that you can't help but take a billion pictures! :]

Ebay=trouble....in a good way

So, I had checked out Ebay for some 08's, but didn't spend too much time there. Good idea and not sure why I didn't think of it since I am a total Ebay junkie and live for the thrill of sniping to win!! Too much time buying baby stuff, I guess (sigh)...

Anyway, I went back and looked at the accessories and wheels and did find some photos that helped a bit. I ALSO found a bunch of other stuff I'm going to HAVE to HAVE!!! I'm thinking the chrome tail lights and probably a chrome fuel door....if there is one thing I don't like about the newer Tahoe's it's definitely the look from the back.

You guys are killing me here!! I'm going to spend even more money and hubbie's gonna freak! I was smart though and layed low and let him call the shots on the boat. So, my turn now ; )
