It was a nice day out so I thought I'd open the sunroof on my '05 yukon XL SLT autoride. But whne I pulled into the driveway I could not close the sunroof. I push the button and it closes about 1/4 of an in an goes right back. Does the same thing if I push the button the other way. Please help as I have no garage to park it in until I can get it looked at tomorrow. Thanks.

Wasn't too hard taking mine apart, think it was a few torx screws and not much else. Mine was loose on the track and I took it apart to find it was missing one of the fasteners. Replaced the torx screw and now it seals up perfect, you may want to grease the track a bit while you're under there too.

i don't think it's any thing like that, everything is very tight and there is no play in anything. I even tried pulling on it while I pushed the button and it just did the same thing. The owners manual says something about programing the power sunroof but I guess I'm stuck now. I will take it apart if I have to but I'm hoping there is something about the function I just don't know. Think a battery disconnect might help?

Isn't there an access cover or plug where you can put an allen key or some sort of drive into so you can close it manually just for this kind of situation.

I don't know, I didn't find anything in the owners manual. It would have made for a warmer ride to work this morning if there was. I'll give it a try if anyone has anymore info on this. Thanks.
