HELP! Light steering/ Bad steering position sensor?

I have a 97 tahoe sport and the steering is extremely light and feels horrible. i read a post on here saying to replace the sensor and i was wondering if anyont has a part number for it. I called the dealership and they treated me like i was an idiot. Do i have to order from them or is there another parts place i can order from?
