ok guys here is a good one.
Went outside to crank my 2004 4.8L tahoe. Engine turned over and ran for a second then cut right off. Tried again did same thing. I know it has gas because i put gas in it the night before. Gages are not working power locks and windows not working. Headlights work and like i said it will crank but will shut off right after. Took it to a chevy dealership and they informed me the computer is not talking to any of the modules. Have anyone heard of anything like this before? There was an after market alarm installed over 3 years ago with the remote engine start. Thats about all I know.

What computer, from the door looks and windows inop sounds like the body control module, however it can also be the ignition switch too

They were saying the main computer brain. I would hope they tried the things you mentioned. I will ask tomorrow
