Hey men I don't have words to say how thankful I am for your answer.

I order already the pan gasket and the filter. I NEED TO FIGURE Out the output seal number. Since the dealer in my country doesn't want to give me the part number I think is safer to buy it here. Do you have any idea of what's the exact name of that seal and where can I buy online. Amazon is not very clear sometimes.

I'm going to the states in few days soo I can order.

If not I will order from the dealer in the US with my chassis number.

Once again thank you soo much.

I will let you know how did I do.

Cheers.

Please provide all information about this vehicle that you can. I glanced at your picture and told you how to fix a leak on the output shaft of a transmission. Your words "transmission leak" lead me believe I was looking at a transmission.

Dude, this is not even a picture of a transmission. Upon inspection of your picture, the yoke sticking out should have been a dead give away, I believe this to be a front differential on a 4x4. Is this the case?

Dude thats your front differential pinion seal thats not your transmission output shaft seal.. output shaft seals have a slip yoke coming out of it

yes rockenthebowtie is exactly right, where were you two days ago, I wouldn't look like such an idiot right now. I have been studying that pic for the last 2.5 hours trying to figure out what transmission he had, then it finally hit me that it wasn't the ass end of a tranny i was even looking at.

Ok... No worries I will send more pictures when I get home. My car is a Tahoe 2005 Ltz, full equipped 4x4.

That picture that I sent is from the front part of the car under driver seat. And this one is from the same but at the rear part of the vehicle. Not very good pictures, but I took them in a hurry.

So I can still drive with this I believe? I JUST NEED TO DRIVE home from the airport and then try to stop at a mechanic that they told me can help me, but he doesn't speak English, soo I'm going to be lost.

I will send more pics tomorrow

Thanks all again.

I am Bi maybe I can help by writing it here for you and you can show him.. oh Bi lingual I mean lol.. espanol

I have never disassembled a differential before, had a rear end in a jeep rebuilt once. But that is the limit of my experience on those.

I can tell you that changing that seal is much more involved than changing the output shaft seal on a transmission to which I gave you instruction.

@rockenthebowtie-thanks for letting me off easy.

now that last picture is of your transfer case.

The reason the fluid coming out of you differential looks so oily is because it is gear oil.

Before driving your vehicle you need to verify you have enough gear oil in that case. Running it low can cause excessive heat and destroy your ring and pinion gears, which by the way are not cheap.

Thank you all for the info

Guys sorry for the delay.. but I went on leave and before that working hard.

I finally got my seal change,,, finally like you guys told me was the 12471590 Seal, Pinion/Differential Pinion Seal, part number 30 of the diagram attch, the seal itself was 18 dollars. I got one mechanic here to replace it for under 60 dollars. At the same time I decided to change my transmission liquid, with filter and pan gasket. And when I lifted up the car I realized that my rear differential was leaking little bit. So I decided to change the oil with the gasket.

I have done that and no more leak in the pinion, but my real differential still leaking a little,,, not enough to drip in the floor,,, but it looks like the differential cover is sweating!!! like if it was going trough the cover ... very weird. I had change the gasket and is not leaking from there if more near a bolt,,, I have put some seal tape on the bolt,,, it doesn't look like the bolt was wet. I will try to buy a new differential cover and see if still leaks,,,, but Im going to leave it like that for a while coz that oil is expensive and is not leaking to much.

I post some pictures for you guys.. thanks again.

My next things to do will be: Differential cover (rear), all sway bar stabilizer bushings, front sock absorber low bushing (if i can find them, if not new shock)... also lower front bushing....

aa I also had to change the rear parking break shoes coz they where broken.
