Heater control

I have a 95 Yukon and it has started to get tired as of late. My newest problem is with my heater control switch, I have got my dash of and I am having troubles with the wiring clips that hold the rear wiper and rear defrost to the plate. My fan works and then stops It doesn't work at all on high and it is hit or miss on the other settings. Were do I press to release the wiring clips? I know its a simple thing but I have just started getting the fix it bug and I'm a little behind the 8 ball. Can any one help me out. lol
