heated seat question

i have a 2004 tahoe z71...
the heated seat on the driver side doesn't work. when i push the button, it lights up for about 15 seconds and then turns off. the seat doesn't get warm from what i can tell...
can anyone tell me what could be wrong... how much it'll cost to replace.. and where i can get the part?

on all of the heated seats ive repaired it usually is a shorted bottom seat heater.the one your butt is on not the back. sometimes it is part of the seat cover really expensive part and sometimes it is an element that goes under the cover. what is happening is when you turn it on the drivers seat module sees that it is shorted and shuts it off.
