headlights wont shut off in auto mode

I have a 2001 Tahoe, and when I turn the vehicle off the headlights will not turn off when the headlamp switch is in the auto postion, I can manually turn them off with the switch. Any ideas here? headlamp switch?or

Mine stay on for like 30 seconds.
