Headlight problem on 96

I got a 96 2 door tahoe with messed up head lights. Ive done searches on google and here to no avail. So here it is....



Drl come on, i turn the switch to parking lights and drls are still on. I turn to headlight position on switch and they turn off. The brights alone used to come on when turned to headlight position when clicked on but not anymore.

I dont know what to do.

Under the hood there are 2 wires cut.

One green with orange stripe that goes to computer, the other is white with black stripe and I don't see anywhere that it could go.

Just need suggestions before i start ordering random parts.

Did you buy the truck like this or is this something that has happened since your ownership? I would look at the headlight switch as the issue seeing that your brights "used" to come on but now dont.

Yeah this is how I bought it. I'll try that switch.

Befor replacing it, remove it and look on the back for burn marks etc or signs of wear or damage. a DMM can test the circuits in the switch. Heres a link that may help. Not sure what your 96 Switch looks like but I think you will get the jist of it.
