Good morning all. This is my first post to the forum. I need a little help. I have a 01 tahoe with the 4.8 motor. I have a bad head gasket, and I am putting together my parts list to do the job in a couple weeks. It will be parked till then, so no worries. The problem is that there are apparently two felpro gasket kits available, and I can't figure out which one I need. One is Part Number: HS9292PT listed as a positive type valve stem seal, and the other is Part Number: HS9292PT-1 listed as top-hat design valve stem seal. I looked on the web to view vin code/ engine code but no luck. Called Chevy dealer and they said to pull it apart first, then order. Really don't want to leave the motor open for that long.
