i have a 96 yukon 2dr with the barndoors in the back my friend gave me a hatch for the same body style does anyone know how hard it would be to switch from barn doors to a hatch style? thanks

oo boy, that sounds like a fun transformation. Im not sure if thats even possible to be honest. I can take pictures of my back hatch and tail gate if you want to see what needs to actually be done. You might need to weld on all the hinges and stuff. its worth a shot i guess//

I gotta ask why... cause I think Barn Doors are WAAAAY cooler. I think it gives you 2 more speaker spots, also. :)
Is there a special reason you want to do this?

its going to be a pain in the ass to change it over. your going to have to mount the hatch hinges, run all the wiring for the popper and the wiper crap. your going to have to mount or weld in the tailgate hinges, latches, and the cables.

then on top of that your going to have to clean up where the barn door hinges were, and probably the latch locations.
