MAN that sucks.. I don't know if you could find a replacement piece of glass for that since it has the led turn signals embedded in. I'd probably check with the dealership first.

thanks for the imput, i new that more was worse but i wanted all the bells and whisles. i looked and to replace the glass was 32 dollars, but the price jumps to 200 when i add the heated, memory, puddle light, power fold, turn signal, and all the other stuff i could have easilly lived with out. i guess my 7 years is starting already. :cryin:

LOL ya I was just wishing the other day that I had some nice leds turn signals. But your right more is worse is some cases. Compared to my old truck, the yukon has a eight times as many bells that could just stop dinging!! you might be able to find the whole assembly on ebay for cheaper..

i have a dealer friend who said he could get it for me at cost. but i wonder what at cost is. and if its just the glass i could replace it my self , but if its the entire unit i would have a pro do it, thats the difference.

ya cost' would be better. Try gmpartsdirect. and it shouldn't be that hard to replace it. Without looking at it, I would say it probably takes you taking off the little trim triangle on the inside of the door, 3 bolts, and a plug-in harness. So I dont' think it would be too difficult

Sorry about your ding, Thunder. I was thinking that you might be able to talk to one of the mechanics at the dealership (they usually appreciate questions and people listening to them) who could let you know for certain if all the mechanics are included in your undamaged mirror body. I have replaced one on a Land Rover and is was quite simple with just a plug-in, four screws (if memory serves me) and wipe it clean. Good luck.

Good show.

My right rear window regulator bit the dust and the motor got really hot (cables got tangled up), dealer wanted 225 for a new regulator w/motor. I paid 17+ shipping, I think 8 bucks for shipping (no call for a regulator that week I guess). It was brand new in the box with the wrapping still. Saved 200 smackers for that little gem.

Gotta love eBay, check ratings though!
