Hello all. I'm Joe. I've got a '99 GMC Yuke SLE. Due to lack of time, I haven't joined up. It's stock right now, but we were gonna sell it due to gas prices. But since we just dumped $2700 into it for repairs, we're gonna keep her till she croaks. She has 128,000 miles on her and I tell you what, I have no complaints. No rust (I'm in CT), straight body (minor parking lot crap), runs like a champ. We've got plans for her in the future (lift, tires, etc...), but we have to get another beater car.
Now the old girl has some issues and I'm looking for some assistance.
1. The Yuke has developed a water leak in the back right next to the driver side rear window. (the window where the jack is housed) During decent rainfall, the carpet will be wet in that area. My wife put a plastic container under the trouble area and has stopped getting the carpet wet. Anyone else have this issue? If so, what was the fix???
2. This was an intermittent issue that has become more often. When my wife goes to put it into drive from park, the shifter won't move. I have her putting the key into "unlock", dropping it into neutral, then starting the truck. Everything works when she does that. Could that be a bad brake switch? Or a bad shift interlock? Anyone else have this issue???
Thanks in advance:cool2:
