Today I went to my salvage yard runs and came across a Denali console, complete with sub, amp, and 6disc cd changer for all for $50!!! It was really dirty and had a few spots with mold on it, got it cleaned up and about to have it dyed the medium grey color to match my interior. I see how I am going to hook up the cd changer, it uses the same plug as the slave CD player on dash so I am just going to fab up a extra long cable for that. My obstacle is how do I hook up the amp and sub to work? The truck had the same set up cassette hu and cd slave unit. I'd like to have the other two items work, are there any ways to do this?

Pix of Console? Pix of connectors on amp? Did you swipe the connectors from the truck also? Did the Denali also have a single slave in the dash along with the 6 disc in the console?

Console is at a buddies shop getting painted the medium grey to match my interior so no pics yet, no I didn't get the plugs since the salvage I went to does not allow you to pull it, the let you see the item make a deal on it then go wait in office till they bring you the part. Yes the truck I pulled it from had the full cassette head unit and the slave CD player under it just like mine.

Oh man, I wish I could find a better console. The stock console is almost a useless waste of space.

A while back, I bought a 4-volume set of factory manuals for the `99, 8" thick! The sections covering deluxe and Denali center consoles are a bit large/involved and are broken up by different wiring groups and connectors.

I found another eBay vendor selling GM Goodwrench 1998-2005 Service Information manuals on CD, which run on your PC, and included my manual set. I don't remember the vendor's name, but it shipped from Minnesota. I think I found it doing a 'Tahoe service manual' search on eBay or Google.

This may be your best option, as the deluxe console components, wiring, and various options/configurations are rather involved...

Since this came out of an Cadillac it had the gold emblem on the wood part that is now black... I found a decal for the door handle and applied it to the spot to make it look more original.

As far as the cruddy looking rubber inserts, I have some new ones on the way..

Today I went to salvage yard and got several of the cables that hooks up the slave units to the master hu and matched the colors up and soldered them end to end and then heat shrinking the new connections to protect them and now I have the factory 6 disc cd changer working with no problems... I did loose the slave CD player but I ended up just putting in the fuzzy cubby in its place... Looks bare but I think I'll get used to it in a couple days.

To hook up the factory amp and sub that came with the console won't work since I didn't get the plugs that went with it, but I found a work around... On eBay they have a very small 100 watt amp for $20 that will run the factory sub and it fits where the old amp goes perfect, and I already have a device that hooks to the factory stereo plug and allows me to hook up an aftermarket amp without altering the factory hu it's from PAC and ill just use the wires from the Bose sub to the new amp and then ill have it all working like it should... It's been a very fun project, and has made a vast improvement over the stock console.

Only one question, the plugs from the Bose sub, one green and one blue. Does anyone know which is positive and which is negative?

Put a meter on it or a testlight.... Green to Ground 0v is groung, 12v would be batt feed, blue to ground 0v is ground, if 12v then batt feed..... or testlight lights/doesnt.
