Good Price??

Just set up an appointment with my local muffler shop to have a 50 SUV put on my 06 Z71 5.3L. I'm a single in, single out, but changing to a single in, dual out, with stainless tips. Cost is $434. plus tax, installed.

Good price you all think? This is for cutting out the old, putting in the new, all new pipes, etc.

It's an okay price.....muffler is not that expensive so labor is most of the cost. I went with entire stainless cat-back exhaust and paid $450 from www.performancepeddler.com and paid a buddy of mine to put it in. Took less than 20 minutes and I am very happy with the result.

But, you are looking at a Magnaflow and I"m going with a Flowmaster 50SUV. I'm also changing from a single out to a dual so I don't know what he has to do for that.

Not arguing the price, just being frank for a comparison to anyone else.

Glad to hear you are happy with the module. It didn't work well with my Volant as my mpg actually went up taking it off. Anyway, good to hear.

Thanks for letting me know on the muffler. I decided to go with the 50 SUV after looking at the interior noise level with their different units. Its slightly less and that was important to me. When I get it, I'll drop you a note, or you'll see it here, in case you want to check it out.
