Anybody know of a good hidden spot to place an Amplifier in the new tahoes? Have an 07 Z71 with the quad captains chairs. Space under the rear seats is really tight. I just want it out of sight. Thanks for the help guys.

The place of choice is on the floor under the captains chairs. AZSCTACO posted this pic a while back of his:

under the captains is a great place but not all amps will fit, i tryed to put my jl 1000/1 and it was to thick so the seat wouldnt go all the way back down. an idea i had was to put one in where the jack and tire tools are at but would have to add some kind of aux fan to keep it ventilated since i know how hot some amps get.

In the very back, if you open your hatch, on the left side there is a lil like black tray thing for the rear passangers to put things in or something on the plastic fender cover below the window. Anyway, that pulls out really easy and I mounted my amp in there.

What did you mount your amp to in there? I might have to mount mine there when the time comes. I never had really measured the space under the seats before, it is not very wide (~8") and most amps are wider than that.

You definitely have to shop around and pay attention to the amps dimensions before you buy anything. I made that mistake before I found the one I am currently using.

space is definitely an issue here. I got my amp installed last night. I will try to get some pictures up of the install. Went in perfectly under the 2nd row captains chairs. Very pleased with everything. The audion guys were impressed with how clean and clear the signal was coming from the factory headunit. I also wired in the LC1 PAC audion line level controller and it works really really well. Gives complete control of the bass output. All and all very pleased with the setup.

Please do post pics! Also let us know what you used for an amp etc...

Sure thing. The amp i used was a TMA T360.2. Made by JL audio. Very pleased with the amp. Of course i am not trying to win any sound competitions so to each his own. LOL. Just wanted to fill out the bottom end without having to kill the stock speakers. I am running 2 Infinity Perfect subs.
