good deal on intake??

i've got one of them on my 99 denali. its ok. just need to find a way to get rid of the vortec box on top

I have a 99 denali also, madspeed

I had the K&N in there ( anyone wants it, lmk and you pay shipping) and it was fine. I ran it with the cover on and also off, it was the same pretty much/ or I didnt really notice changes.
I recently (on getwired's advice) tossed in a Volant CAI and that got rid of the vortec intake box. heres the link to that thread it has some pics.

I bought the $25.99 air intake for my 97 Jimmy over a year ago and found it to be garbage. I should have known better but the factory intake was cracked and causing me problems. Well the aftermarket was worse. You could hear it on heavy acceleration but as far as a gain of any kind goes; I didn't notice anything. Besides I had to tighten all of the hose clamps once a week because it kept coming apart under the hood.
