I would think the stock grill should unbolt, why would you need a grinder? that dosen't make sense to me.:skep: :skep:

I wished the installation was that easy.

This grill is the cut-out kind, not the bolt over kind.

I skimmed the directions last night. It may very well have said "unbolt grill"

To be honest i didnt read them that carefully, just whipped thru the pictures.

and yeah it does definately have some angle grinder in there somewhere. I looked at the grill on the vehicle more at lunch today, and I dont see any play in it that would indicate that it could be unbolted. But i really cant know that for sure until I get the whole mess taken off.

If you have to use a angle grinder, its a cut out type of install. Make sure you tape up the factory chrome surround very well, as the angle grinder will scratch it up in a heart beat. Oh try to get some black rattle can paint, you will need it to hide the discolored freshly cut plastic that cutting the stock grille is going to leave behind. Cut a little at a time, you can always cut more, but if you cut too much your screwed. I hope this helps.......

Black,
dude, right on.

It was a pain... i used a rotary tool, not an angle grinder.. it would have been too unwieldy for this detail work i think.
But yeah, great pointers, and thanks for the paint tip, i didnt even think of that.
And post more pics of your ride dude, I love the black ops government ride.
Your next mod should be this!
