Hi all,
New to the forum here... and its a good one! Lots of great info to be found...

Is anyone running both the GM Performance or Touring Exhaust and the GM Intake? Have they performed well / given you the results you wanted?

I am leaning towards the factory product(s) to ensure I can obtain warranty service when I need it. Any insight is appreciated.

Welcome!

I do not know how they perform, one thing i do is that the gm CAI has an aluminum tube which looks good but doesnt perform as well as its plastic conterpart because it doesnt isolate well from heat. For example, K&N claims 12hp increase for their aluminum kit and 17+hp for the plastic one. As for the exhaust, I belive its made by Borla (not sure), if so, they are very good but a bit too loud for my taste. hope this helps.

I'm not a scienctist ( or a good speller) but I have noticed a quicker throttle response after I installed my intake, TB spacer, and exhaust.

Yep. At least +50 hp and 25% mpg improvement. Chirps the tires in all gears. Afraid to run it at the strip cuz probably have to put roll bar and chute on for more runs. :smilielol:  :clapping: :yesnod:  :smilielol:

Seriously didn't notice any mpg improvement but it definitely seems stronger when kicking down to passing gear at hwy speeds. Sound is awesome. :Chevy:

73shark,
yah, I know... I had a K&N in my '03 Z06 until I read an interview w/ Dave McLellan "don't people think if I could get another 25 hp out of some silly air filter I would have?"

But getting an opinion, good or bad, on a product that is hard to return after used still is valuable and thanks for responding.

And from one Missouri boy to another, how 'bout them Tigers?

Hopefully they can stay focused but they've done great so far. I was a freshman when KU stole the national championship from us so this year was particularly sweet.

Here's a game recap :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: :clapping:
