I thought I would post a few pictures of the nice gift I got from GM when I bought my Tahoe. It a nice canvas bag with a Chevy Mag-Lite, Extra Duracell Batteries, Chevy Umbrella, Chevy Aluminum Coffee Cup, and First Aid Kit.

OK.. It was a gift from Chevy when I bought my new 1998 Tahoe 10 years ago :D but it is a shame that GM doesn't give you a little thanks gift anymore when you buy a new Tahoe. It also came with a nice letter from Chevrolet thanking you for buying a new 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe.

Anyway I thought you guys might get a kick out of seeing it. And YES I did keep it when I sold my 1998 Tahoe and it's now behind the back seat in my 2007 Tahoe:thumbsup:

I got a crappy DENALI pen when I bought my '04, but no little "trinkets" came with the '07, unless you count the two years of Nav DVD updates... :skep: No, I didn't keep the pen. I just didn't feel right hanging on to it; I figure the General must've meant that the owner should always have it handy and ready to write something important. If I'd have gotten a spiffy nylon bag lined with a nice plaid print, housing a flashlight (with extra batteries), umbrella, and a first aid kit, I figure they'd have to pry it from my cold dead fingers as well. Don't give in guys! Don't let 'em have it!

give ya 50 bucks for the mag light if it works.

Are you kidding!!! A free gift from Chevy is priceless...:smilielol: I figure that was my one and only gift.. So I will have to move it from Tahoe to Tahoe for the next 40 years :D I didn't even get anything when I bought my Corvette new in 2004

PS: The mag light works and looks like new. I haven't used any of the stuff in the bag much at all. I just replace the batteries every year and keep it in the back of the Tahoe

I didn't get anything with our 08 GMC Yukon.
I did get an Eddie Bauer duffle bag, when we bought our 99 Eddie Bauer Expedition. I guess we just have to know, they put everything into our vehicles.

So, do they even sell this Chevy "consolation gift prize" anywhere... If reasonably priced, I would actually buy it and keep in my Hoe just like TN Tahoe and crew... Kinda nice...and practical...:cool2:
