I have a 95 Tahoe with 5.7. If I try to start the engine cold it can crank for several seconds (10 to 15) before it will start.
If I turn the key on and wait about 10 seconds before cranking, it will fire right off after a couple of cranks.
I don't have a problem doing this, but I was looking at getting a remote starter for next winter and I'm afraid I'll burn up a starter in short order.
I figure I am losing the fuel in the fuel lines overnight as I have changed the fuel filter to make sure that isn't the problem.
What should I check next?
