flowmaster kit #17344

noob, but been here awhile - any reason flowmaster kit 17344 will not fit an 05 z71? summit online catalog says no (haven't called tech assistance). thanks in advance

I think it should fit. I bought one a few months ago and it works fine granted I don't have a Z71 but I'm pretty sure the exhuast is the same. Also I bought a turn down pipe from autzone and turned down the exhuast after the muffler sounds great and not too loud either. The chrome tip from the kit will turn yellow after awhile unless you polish it but even then you can still see the yellow.

I would think it would be the same as a non Z71 as far as mounts go. I figured it had something to do w/ the body molding on the lower 1/4. One day I'll get around to calling Summit and see what they say. Thanks for the info.
