Meguire's Tech Wax is awesome. Its a synthetic polymer. I won't use anything else now. Easy to apply and remove. No white film/dust when removing. Excellent product

Meguiars NXT and Quik Detailer. Haven't tried the new Ultimate Quik Detailer yet but hear it's pretty good.

Im a corvette guy first and have been a zaino user for years. People have said its a pain to apply but I will tell you one thing. If you love how your vehicle looks and you really want it to look its best Zaino is the product. Yes you need to follow a process the first time you use it and it "MIGHT" take a few hours...but once thats done, the result is better then I have EVER seen. Its the longest wearing product as well. NXT, Gold class etc doesnt last half as long. the bonus is, if you want to put on a few extra coats of Zaino, it will get a deeper and wetter look and each coat will only take about 20 minutes... and will NOT kill your arm.. Guys, this product goes on and wipes off soooo easy. OK, off my soapbox (so to speak) but seriously...do you love your vehicle? well do you?

Do you apply by hand or do you use a buffer? I'm torn on which way to go. They (Zaino) suggests doing it by hand but I don't need to remind anyone here how big these vehicles are. There's a lot of ground to cover! :cool2:

Liquid Glass. The work is in the application. The removal is cake.

There is a Zaino polishing compound ZFX that I use a PorterCable DA with, but thats not very often. I have 3 black vehicles and not a fan of swirl marks so every once in awhile I buff them out using the PC. Otherwise I apply all Zaino by hand and serious...it doesnt take long to put on or wipe off.

Ultimate Wax Solution

For those in the Southeast, especially the Atlanta area, this is the best thing you can do for your Tahoe: http://www.permafinish.com

I did this on '99 Explorer with 160000 miles on it, and the difference was AMAZING. It costs probably $600 to do for a Tahoe, but they guarantee that you'll never have to wax/detail your Tahoe again, and that it will look like new. Since we did the Explorer several months ago, I've run it through several of the self-serve brushless washes that you see at gas stations everywhere, and not a scratch or swirl YET. When we get our '07 Tahoe in a couple of weeks, it's going straight from the dealer to Permafinish!

PS - I don't work for them in any way; just a VERY satisfied customer.

I've used Zaino and Poorboys and Mequires products and Zaino is the best hands down.

I'll post proof in a couple of months when it warms up here in Wisconsin

WEll I have a Black WS6, I use to use nothing but Zaino Products on my WS6, Expedition, and alot of past cars. I stop using Zaino last summer after I noitice that my WS6 that only has 35,xxx and stays in the garage started to have a dull look to it almost like the car sat outside all the time. I went to Walmart and bought some Mothers and my car has that deep, glossy look again. I will never use Zaino again and I will stick to thew Mothers wax, Zaino is not a wax but a Polish, and 12-13 bucks for a 6 oz I would rather have the Mothers at the cheaper price and more contents.

I like the aesthetics and durability of a carnuaba layered over a sealant. I'm layering S100 over NXT right now. I've got a little of the original NXT left and then I'm trying something else that's more durable. I've been happy with the Meg's line and think I'll try out the #20 or 21 sealant next. I'm extremely happy with S100. It is a pleasure to apply and I can pick it up locally. I apply everything with a PC and remove it by hand. Here's NXT with S100:

I agree with above. I've been using it for about 8 years. (Also a Corvette guy). It's expensive but you use so little per application, the small bottle lasts a long time. It's a choice decision to use carnuba wax or polymer like Zaino.

I use Meguiars NXT, it's a synthetic wax and shows a deep deep black. It's super easy to apply, and remove. When it's on, I've compared to Zanio and it's the same look. Only bad thing about NXT is that it only last like one or two washes, But at only $15 it's almost untouchable. Zanio last a long time and looks good, but I hate hate hate putting in on. I have another friend that just got some synthetic wax from Germany that's even better than NXT, same price but it lasts for a few months after applied. I'll find out the name and let you know.

Here's a couple pics with NXT. I guess it's hard to tell. It's like a black mirror, I dunno. It looks super damn good in the sun. I'll take some more pics of the full ride later today.

Here is a pict. after I stripped the Zaino.

The Oak tree on the passenger side is in my neighbors yard across the street, the Zaino never had a shine like this....

This is before I stopped using Zaino.

I have done lots of research on this because I have a Denali XL and its a lot of work to wax a truck that large. So I wanted to find a protectant that was very durable.

If you want the longest lasting and best protection then ReJex is the best. It also offers a really reflective shine. It was developed at the request of the US Military to protect the paint next to the Jet engines on helicopters from corroding. It works well in keeping bugs, tar, tree sap, brake dust, acid rain and other contaminants from contacting and damaging the paint and it lasts from 4 to 6 months.

If you are less concerned with durability and just want a beautiful shine, then the decision on which one to use is more subjective.

Klasse is great as is Liquid Glass, Megiuars and Zaino. In the past few years, Zaino has really taken off with the enthusiast community but some guy tested it against the more affordable Meguiars and his photos and opinion show no discernable difference between the two. I used Meguiars products for many years based on recommendations from paint shops. I've liked every product of theirs that I've tried. But I use ReJex on the Denali because I don't have the time to detail my cars like I used to and it lasts the longest with the most protection.

There are no bad polishes, waxes or protectants in this day and age. They are all good. Its just personal preference.

Hope that is helpful.
