Has anyone purchased the factory chrome/stainless tip for their 2007 Tahoe? I just got our 07' LTZ home on Friday night and am looking to get a tip for it. I'll post pics asap. Thanks !!!!

Was it just a slip on? Not cutting, etc.
The factory (gmaccessories) have the double wall angle cut...
Has anyone purchased one of those?

Thx

I got the single wall, slant cut GM tip and put it on the GM Perf. Exh. It slips on and has a band type clamp.

We installed the Chevy chrome tip with the chevy bowtie emblem. Chevy makes several types but this one looked the best on our Hoe. Keep it all Chevy.

No, I don't have a part number. We just ordered it from the dealer's part's dept. and had them install it. The guys in part's were so nice because we couldn't decide which one we wanted so they ordered several types so we could check them out on the Hoe before buying. The tip really looks nice and I'm trying to talk my wife into installing the catback exhaust. She is the primary driver and likes it quiet. :shhh:

Then don't get the GM Perf. catback. My sounded good when first put it on but after putting some miles on it, it really drones at 45-55 mph. Not usually a problem until you hit some two lane roads. :(

Go with the touring muffler.....

I've got the duel catback with the touring muffler on my Silverado and it's low and mellow with NO drone on the highway. If the wife were to get an exhaust I would go with the touring muffler.

If your looking for nice exhaust, just go with a new Magnaflow muffler, and as far as a tip is concerned, just go down to your local Midas or Muffler shop, I got a 4.5 inch slant cut from my local shop to go with my system and it was pretty cheap. And it definately looks sick with the Fat Tip on there. :Chevy:
