Have 2011 Tahoe LTZ with dual zone AC module under nav/radio display. Just replaced the AC module due to old unit having two stuck pushbuttons and decals rubbed away. Replaced with new GM unit. The ac/fan controls work fine, however, the new module displays the exterior temp - the old did not display ext temp. The temp is displaying a constant 55 deg (as does the driver DIC display) regardless of actual outside temp - 80 deg yesterday. The only thing I have tried was the "instant update" by pressing and holding both the ac and recirc air buttons simultaneously for about 5-6 sec. Both displays flicker between 54-55 and settle back to 55 once buttons released.
I am wondering if the new module is an upgraded version for later models or if there is some other programming involved. When purchased the website indicated it was for this year and model (could be wrong tho).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Fixed it. Re-installed original ac control module (same p/n 25936130). The DIC exterior temp display now showed accurate temp (72). Turned off ac/htr and removed unit with car running in park. Installed new unit and both temps read 72. Drove around for 20 minutes and watched temps change. Turned on ac and tested all htr/ac/fan/defrost functions - all work fine. Also pressed and held ac and recirc buttons to reset. Unit still read 72. So looks like this procedure has worked - will watch it for several days to insure. Hope this helps anyone with similar issues.
