Engine shakes and smells bad

I was driving down the highway and i heard a big boom, and the tahoe started to shake and i could only go 45 miles per hour. It smells like gas and oil mixing and burning and intake is not sucking right cuz it sounds like its trying to suck thru a straw.

blown head gaskets? is there oil in the coolant or vise versa? if its still running i doubt it threw a rod.

coolant

the coolant is a little darker than usual but when i drive to move it the exhaust has some oil and gas burning in it and smokey.

forgot about that part. I forgot my engine just locked up and would not move no matter what.

Big Boom doesn't sound like a blown head gasket to me. Check your timing, you may have jumped a cog, or the timing sensor on the crank may have gone.

How about when your driving on the highway at close to 100MPH and the cabin begins to smell, and it the smell is coming through the vents.

why would the vehicle be going 100? Mines programmed to not exceed 42MPH.

I'm not sure. I have a small oil leak i noticed when putting on the exhaust system. it went 100mph because I wanted to. it has a good amount of performance work but the engine probably cant handle it. afterall, you hit 100 the engine usually shuts down/ random multiple cylinders misfire.

man.. like 95TwinnTT says.. the GM engine isnt used to all that extra stress from ultra modifications. is it possible that you have a prematurely worn ring?

I think you can squelch that 100mph problem with a tuning device.

haha tunin devices are great fun to pass a zo6 vette thats crusing along on the highway at 95 and ur passin him at 120 but the he sure catches up fast and passes me :-(
