I was going through the TPMS relearn process and during that process my battery drained to the point that it would not start the vehicle. When I turned on the ignition (after having reset the TPMS and turning it to the off position) I got the service system indicators on the readout for basically every system. It tried to crank once and then the second time I tried it the vehicle went completely dead.

I noticed that after I put the battery charger on it and got it to start, the engine hour meter had reset. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Thanks,

Jeff

Well I called the dealer today and asked if they had ever seen this before. Service advisor said he had never heard of it and he talked to some of the techs and they had never seen it before either. They said the same thing that I was thinking which was they were under the impression that engine hours were not able to be reset.

I am thinking that it has to do with the display itself and not the computer. While I was on the phone with the service advisor, he mentioned that they have to manually input the values when they replace a gauge cluster. Not sure if this is true or not; any GM service techs out there that can verify this?

Anyone that has anymore information or insight on this, please post.

Thanks,

Jeff
