I have two GM trucks that have those damn leaky engine oil cooling lines. A 1999 Tahoe and a 1998 GMC Sierra K1500. I've replaced the lines on the GMC 3 times now with both Doorman and Genuine GM Parts with eventually the same results. The Tahoe leaks as well and I'm debating between eliminating the lines on both trucks or buying an aftermarket system.
I was wondering what you guys think about just eliminating them and putting plugs in the adapters. Are there any pressure issues that are created by removing the lines? I thought I read somewhere that there is a bypass that needs to be removed from the adapter if I decide to plug the lines.
If putting in an aftermarket system would be better, but still using the stock adapter, which one would be best? There are so many out there I'm not sure what to look into. I don't do a lot of heavy towing, just a small cargo trailer from time to time with maybe a snowmobile or ATV on it. Thanks.
