Hey guys, i just bought my 2004 Yukon SLT 2 weeks ago and yesterday i had some issues that stirred some issues in my driver side area.
As i was pushing down my E-Brake yesterday I kind of pushed down on it fairly hard and fast that it made a tst tst tst sound coming from near the foot pedal. I pulled on the e-brake release and pushed it down again only this time i saw sparks coming from the the fuse box area.
So fast forward to today i pull into my driveway and i push down on my e-brake and this time it makes a big TST sound and sure enough my gauge cluster loses light, i lose my turn signals, and my interior lights.
Is this a common issue in 2004 models? Also being that i bought the car used it came with a 30 day warranty from the dealer. Does this fall under my warranty? Last i bought this car in Winchester and i live in Springfield which is an hour away. Can my warranty be transferred to a GMC dealer up in my area so that i don't have to drive all the way back to the dealer i bought it at? If this all else fails and i have to pay out of pocket how much does an electrical issue such as this going to cost me? Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
