Egr valve

Does anyone know what I can use to clean my egr valve without damaging it

Ive used brake cleaner on mine before with no trouble, I also have just gotten mine out on the highway and up to speed and just run the snot out of it also....

What symptoms are you having?

I use brake cleaner and a shop towel with a screwdriver to pull all the crap out of there.

Sometimes loss of power and it turns on at cold start but once warm it takes a while to start I took it off already and it was stuck so I used carb clean carefully so not to damage rubber or anything electrical
