About to invest in dual flowmasters for the Tahoe. Want to know where is better if there is a better spot to shoot the tips out of... The sides or the back? thanks guys

In theory, straight out the back is best. The fewer bends in the exhaust the better for air flow. At least that's what I was always told.

sides if your going to tow or back if your not. thats my rule of thumb. :yesnod:

if you do it on the back and you tow somthing its gunna get heat and DIRTY. ie a boat.

or if you off road. coming straight out the back means theres less dirt/mud/sand that can get in, especially if you get buried to your frame. trust me, i know. i had to dig out around my exhaust just so i wouldnt blow up my enging.

i've aways been a fan of the 45's out the corners. not a big bend, and won't affect what you tow.

just make sure they stick out in the same place on both sides or they'll really look like crap

how about straight back with some big ol tips on em and a nice loud rumble?? sounds good to me.. lol do u have a 2 dr or 4 dr.. bcuz i cant find anything dual for my 4 dr...

got a 4 door. got a shop going to do custom dual with 2 50 series suv flowmasters. chevy tips top it off.

Probably gonna have to be a custom built exhaust. Around here that will run anywhere from $300 to $700, depending on what they use for materials.

Getting mine done next week for $235, I'm supplying the muffler. They said it very difficult on these (96 4Dr) because of the spare tire and gas tank.
